In Gateway To Knowledge, a landscape with surrealist overtones, the existence of different realities is proposed. On the one hand, we have an arid, barren landscape, inhabited by beings with heads made of bricks. Beings who do not see beyond their own interests, and who remain isolated and immobile in the face of the progressive desertification of their environment. On the other hand, through a door, we can observe another reality. A reality in which trees abound and in which the protection of nature is presented as the very basis of knowledge.

The figure of Anubis is established as an essential element in this work. This character inspired by the Ancient Egyptian deity represents here, as in many other works by Peri Helio, the guardian of other worlds or realities in which nature is the predominant element, thus making him the protector of nature.

Gateway To Knowledge is, therefore, a work with a marked social critique, suggesting a different way of doing things with respect for our environment as a fundamental part of this other reality.
