Limbico is a musical project founded in 2021 by the Vigo musician Iago Marta. A proposal in which jazz and improvisation play a leading role, and for which he has counted on four other renowned musicians from the city: Macarena Montesinos on cello, José Manuel Díaz on double bass, Diego Alonso on saxophone, and Héctor Agulla on drums. The line-up is completed by Iago Marta himself, who is in charge of composition and guitar.
For his first album, with the same name, Iago decided to count on Peri for the cover design. The result is this image, in which nature and construction compete in a dreamy atmosphere. In addition, the contrast between organic and geometric shapes, usual in Peri Helio’s work, alludes to the contrast between composition and improvisation that coexist in this album.
