Diogenes

About the project:

Diogenes is a mural full of social criticism painted in 2011 as part of the Desordes Creativas festival. It shows a powerful image, the result of the combination of these three colours, which stands out against the raw wall of the façade. A being surrounded by masks, now useless once they have served their purpose, which he accumulates around him, so as not to face an uncomfortable reality.

As can be seen, the mask is a protagonist element in this work. Through it, the artist seeks to represent the way in which people tend to hide their true emotions and impulses in order to fit into an increasingly dysfunctional society.
