In Sweet Corn, the figure of the ear of corn appears as the central element around which the rest of the elements that make up the illustration “orbit”. A simile about the importance of corn for many peoples as the basis of their diet.
Together with the ear of corn, social criticism and the idea of the multiverse are the pillars of this work. These concepts are combined with various geometric elements to generate a disconcerting composition full of movement.
In this work Peri overturns a series of experiences that occurred in 2014 and that had a great impact on him in those days. Metaphorically represented, these events help to enrich the scene, while providing Sweet Corn with an introspective and intimate atmosphere.
