Ziggurat nº2 is part of a series of three illustrations all inspired by this mythical Mesopotamian construction. Taking the concept of the ziggurat as a starting point, Peri gives free rein to his imagination and plays with different agglomerations of geometric constructions.
Beyond the concept of the ziggurat, the idea of the labyrinth of multiple paths is also very present in all the works in this series. It is almost inevitable to try to go through this Ziggurat nº2 with the eye in search of a path that will take us to the top of the figure, and at the same time it is easy to realise how complicated the task is.
This is, without doubt, a work that combines complexity and elegance in a remarkably balanced geometric exercise.
